About Jennifer

Washington State Licensed as a Clinical Social Worker and Mental Health Counselor with over 10 years experience with working with individuals on who are searching for meaning and purpose or of challenged with daily stressors, anxiety, depression, thought disorders, and trauma (sexual trauma, combat, and complex childhood trauma).  I  work with people to understand their maladaptive behaviors and reactions opening the door to making long-term change. I am experienced in multiple modalities to include Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and multiple trauma focused therapies (i.e. EMDR).  The primary therapeutic approaches used in session are Cognitive Therapy, Mindfulness/Meditation, and Inquiry Based Stress Reduction (The Work of Byron Katie).  Sessions involve skills building, processing, and integrating new possibilities.  As a therapist I have learned a client has a rich inner world waiting to be discovered and I help people find their way back to themselves. I am a certified facilitator in The Work of Byron Katie which is a meditative inquiry.
